Dear Muzoma users,

It has come to my attention that many users may be aware of the Muzoma app's recent transition to free access, alongside its extended period of inactivity spanning approximately five years. Due to my full-time commitments within the healthcare sector, particularly during the pandemic, I have found it challenging to allocate sufficient time for the development, testing, and support that Muzoma deserves. Additionally, the ongoing operational costs associated with maintaining the app have been a significant concern.

At this point, I believe it is prudent to consider alternative applications, as there are no assurances regarding the long-term availability of Muzoma. Over time, other solutions have emerged that provide similar or enhanced features, with several noteworthy options currently receiving active support and development.

Below are some recommended alternatives:

 <li>Stage Traxx - Recently introduced multi-track audio support and encompasses most of the features offered by Muzoma, with a commitment to ongoing development and user support.</li>
 <li>Multitracker - A versatile application for audio and MIDI backing tracks, now offering document support.</li>
 <li>Jamzone - Developed by the creators of Karaoke version, this app features multi-track backing tracks accompanied by lyrics and chords, ensuring fully licensed content for both publishing and performance rights. This guarantees fair compensation for artists while enabling legal use during live performances.</li>
</ul>

Muzoma will remain available in the app store for the time being, with a possibility for future updates. However, I strongly encourage users who rely on Muzoma for professional or semi-professional purposes to begin exploring alternative applications.

Muzoma has long been recognized as a musical productivity tool that empowers users across various roles in the music industry. Artists, composers, performers, band members, sound engineers, producers, DJs, karaoke authors, buskers, publishers, and music content creators may find its features particularly beneficial.

The app facilitates the playback and recording of multi-channel/multi-track as well as stereo/mono backing tracks synchronized with lyric and chord cues. Additionally, users can utilize Apple AirPlay™ and Muzoma’s peer-to-peer band sharing feature.
